    About me:

    Hi! I’m Tessa. I’m in Year 12 studying 4 A-levels (Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry and Physics) at Stratford Girls’ Grammar School. I offer tutoring for the full 11+ curriculum and up to GCSE level across the STEM subjects. 

    How it works:

    I structure the lessons around my students, depending on which areas they need the most support. I will plan a work schedule to offer comprehensive cover of all subjects needing extra attention. 

    I teach the lessons from my home in Ettington, with availability for 1-hour weekly sessions on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4pm onwards. I will be available over the summer but please get in touch to find out about specific dates and times.

The 11+ tests four key subjects: Maths, English, Verbal Reasoning and Non-Verbal Reasoning. While Maths and English are studied in school, Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning tend to be new to students. These test an ability to spot patterns and connections. Verbal Reasoning involves letters and words while Non-Verbal Reasoning uses shapes and pictures.

Lessons will familiarise students with all aspects of Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning and explain methods to tackle different types of questions. If required, lessons can also cover the Maths and English featured in the 11+ exam to ensure students can perform highly across all subjects. I teach primarily from Bond books but would be happy to facilitate any other resources.

I offer tutoring for GCSE Maths, Physics and Chemistry for all exam boards (AQA, Edexcel and OCR). I would be happy to work through exam structure and techniques, as well as recapping content or offering revision tips.
